About:
deplate is a tool for converting wiki-like markup to LaTeX, HTML, or "HTML
slides". It is in this respect similar to tools like aft or txt2tags. It
supports embedded LaTeX code, footnotes, citations, biblographies,
automatic generation of an index, etc. In contrast to many wiki machines,
it is made for "offline" use as a document preparation tool. It aims to be
modular and extensible. This is the accompanying converter for the Vim
viki plugin.

Changes:
On-the-fly generation of figures (via dot/neato), plots, or tables (via R).
New macros: sub-/superscript and stacked text. Support for "modules",
i.e., possibly formatter specific add-ons, has been added. HTML index has
been removed; the ameliorated functionality has moved to the main HTML
formatter. The command line options have changed. There is some code
cleanup. Modularity and customizability have been improved. HTML output
has been improved.

About:
deplate is a converter for wiki-like markup with output to LaTeX, HTML
(single page, chunked), DocBook, and really plain text. It can read
viki/deplate markup and rdoc files. It supports most markup elements
needed for complex documents (e.g., footnotes, citations, index, table of
contents, embedded LaTeX for mathematics). Output can be customized via
page templates. deplate can create Web pages and (via LaTeX or Docbook)
high-quality printouts from the same source. It is the accompanying
converter for the Vim viki plugin.

Changes:
This release contains many small changes, fixes, and improvements,
including easier configuration, full localization, the ability to define
elements and particles right in the document, some new modules and
formatters, and improved support for rdoc input.

Changes:
In multi-file output, you can now specify a file name for each section,
which makes it easier to set up a whole Web site as a set of HTML slides.
New regions: page headers and footers and tables from tab/char-separated
data. #to_html and #to_latex methods have been added for using deplate as
a Ruby library. There are new command line options to copy CSS files to
the destination directory. Some aliases have been introduced for some
commands/macros/regions in order to make the naming more consistent. There
are some minor changes to how macro arguments are parsed.

About:
deplate is a tool for converting documents written in an unobtrusive,
wiki-like markup to LaTeX, HTML, or "HTML slides". It supports embedded
LaTeX code, footnotes, citations, bibliographies, automatic generation of

use as a document preparation tool. In this respect it is similar to
tools like aft or txt2tags. It aims to be modular and easily extensible.
It is the accompanying converter for the Vim viki plugin.

Changes:
This release fixes a bug that prevented deplate from running if $RUBYLIB
wasn't defined. This release moreover features a Chinese localization
module (by Jjgod Jiang) and an experimental module for a dynamic HTML
pop-up table of contents. The handling of page headers and footers was
improved. The #IF command can perform tests on command line options. #AU
and #TI were added as aliases for #AUTHOR and #TITLE. A new command-line
option (-- [no-]simple-names) allows disabling simple Wiki names.

LaTeX's dramatist class, a guesslanguage module for guessing the

Changes:
Many small changes were made to make the tool more consistent and stable.
The standard markup for emphasis and code was changed, though a module was
provided to re-enable the old markup. You can now define simple regions,
macros, and commands inline without writing any Ruby code. Regions can be
indented. An improved navigation bar for HTML slides was included.
Arguments to regions, macros, and commands can now be put in double
quotes. Support for Russian was added and Chinese support was improved.
New macros, commands, and elements were added.

and tables, and more. Output can be customized via page templates. deplate
is also suitable for creating stage- or screenplays, small Web sites, and
HTML-based slideshows.

engines, the choice of markup originated from the emacs-wiki.

Changes:
At the core of this release is a rewrite of how formatters are linked into
the system. This change engenders a few new features. Templates and LaTeX
output (especially tables) were greatly enhanced. Output can be styled,
which is demonstrated in some new modules: html-headings-navbar, numpara,
mark-external-urls, and latex-styles. A #Code region was added for
displaying source code.
