About:
PolkaDot is extremely simple blogging software. It requires nothing but a
PHP host and a text editor. Installation consists of copying two PHP
scripts and a CSS stylesheet. Configuration is optional and involves very
simple changes to a single file. It's really about as simple as a working
blogging system could be.

Changes:

PolkaDot is extremely simple blogging software. It requires nothing but a
PHP host and a text editor. Installation consists of copying two PHP

blogging system could be.

Changes:
This release added paging to allow access to older postings. RSS feeds were
implemented for individual categories. The program no longer assumes that
register_globals is turned on.

scripts and a CSS stylesheet. Configuration is optional and involves very

blogging system could be, while still providing features such as
categories and RSS feeds.

Changes:
PolkaDot 1.3 refines the paging mechanism and adds the ability to put posts
into multiple categories, via symlinks. This multiple category feature is
intended for advanced users and is entirely optional. Documentation has
also been enhanced.

PHP warnings on some installations.

to a server. Configuration is optional and involves very simple changes to
a single file. Posting consists of copying text files to a server. It's
really about as simple as a working blogging system could be, while still
providing features such as categories, RSS feeds, and full-text searching.

Changes:
This release adds XHTML compliance, post ordering by either changed date or
updated date, and the placement of all static strings into the
configuration file for easy customization and language localization.
Documentation changes include a how-to on setting up PolkaDot Search in
the FireFox/Mozilla search toolbar.
